Foothill Dialysis Access Center Celebrates 5 Years
Access center celebrates 5 years of service
Upland, California. 8/1/11 – Foothill Dialysis Access Center recently celebrated five years of service to Southern California patients requiring vascular care. The center has provided End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients vascular access care, including angioplasty, declotting, catheter placement and vessel mapping since July 2006. At a recent Open House, the center celebrated the fifth anniversary milestone with live music and healthy food selections in an upbeat, spirited, life-affirming gathering of patients and their families.
“Our goal over these past five years has always been to provide our dialysis patients with excellent vascular access care in a dedicated, positive, caring environment,” said Mary P. Bui, DO, Medical Director of Foothill Dialysis Access Center. “I think the compassionate spirit among our staff and physicians shows through with our patients — they know that we genuinely care about their quality of life and want to make sure they are living the best life possible. I look forward many more years of successfully serving our dialysis community.” One patient remarked about her experience at the center, “Everyone is so personable and attentive. When you are frightened, it feels great to have someone who cares. They’re really great!”
Angioplasty and catheter procedures comprise roughly two-thirds of the services performed at the Foothill Dialysis Access Center. In the past five years, there have been 5,350 patient encounters at the facility, with an impressive 96% overall success rate.
